Motivation Australia relies upon the support of our members and volunteers to carry out our work. There any many ways to get involved, including becoming a member, initiating fundraising events and volunteering to collaborating with us on our international programmes. Anyone can get involved and play a part in making Motivation's vision of a world free of today's obstacles to disabled people's full enjoyment of their abilities, rights and ambitions a reality.

- Fundraising
-
You can help Motivation Australia by creating your own fundraising campaign. It is a very easy 3 step process with no cash and no paperwork. Your friends and family can sponsor you by making a tax deductible donation to your own online page. Every donor can leave a message for you and will receive their receipt immediately. This process helps us by reducing the admin work and is also quick and easy for you. Thank you for your support!

- Volunteering
-
Motivation Australia is always keen to hear from people interested in volunteering to support our work through administration, fund raising, communication and public relations. There are many other ways that you can help us too. Whether you are an individual planning a coffee morning to sell Motivation Christmas cards, a professional offering pro bono support or a large company wanting to build an ongoing relationship with a local charity, we would love to hear from you!
At times we have short term voluntary positions for experienced personnel to assist us in our programme work. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with design, rehabilitation and clinical skills. We are also interested in hearing from active wheelchair users who may be able to help develop our peer group training programmes.

On Sunday the 28th April Motivation Australia and Partners in Disability and Development (PDD) joined forces to host a fund raising walk from the Aldinga Arts Eco Village to the beautiful Port Willunga Beach. 69 people participated in our walk; with many commenting on the beautiful surroundings they enjoyed. Walk for Wheels has raised over $2,000. Thank you to all those who participated in the event by walking, donating, or volunteering their time to assist.
The fund raising page is still open - click HERE to sponsor one of the participants. Motivation Australia and PDD look forward to running the event in 2014. If you are interested in running a similar event in your area to support Motivation Australia: get in touch and we'll happily share with you how we did it!
